The importance of brush in PHOTOSHOP.

Drawing in PHOTOSHOP is difficult for me at the beginning, because I have image everything that I want to draw. It could be a big work.   

The third picture is my first one drew by hand. I used nearly 3 hours to finish it. This is unbelievable to talk people that I used 3 hours.  During that time, my work goes very slow and I thought I need something to help me in PHOTOSHOP. 

After that, I got many brushes from my friend. There are brushes for water, fire ,forest and sands etc. It is saved my time, for example, the first picture that I used half and 1 hour, because I was focus on the western dragon. And the second picture I just used half an hour, many thing just needed to sweep a bit.

When I got these brushes, I can enjoy the drawing, they improved our work efficiency. However, I chose the 3D animation, because I always think that 3D animation could be more useful, it could be used in the many felids like advertisement, games, and concert etc. So from now, I need to focus on my own work which means MAYA. 

How to make characters for our audience?

Nowadays, animation is more and more popular around the world, the audience of animation usually is young people. There is a investigation about the audience of animation in China. People under 13 years old is 11% of all ages. The people between 14-17 is 59%, and the people over 18 is 30%. So our main audience is the young people who is between 14-17.

This age of people already have knowledge, they are tired with some puerile cartoons, but they also have a great imagination, they like copy the motion which is cool, they adore hero and image themselves as a hero, use powerful magic.

So the animation like KUNG FU PANDA becomes more and more popular in world, the character of that film has a strong skill, and the story is funny. It is easy to  be accepted for the young people .

The second picture shows the animation which was made in China, it always teach children knowledge. But the character in that show is rigid,  nobody like it although it is a positive TV show. 

In my film, I can not draw the characters well, but I used a good story which has funny story, heros, magic and knowledge.  

How to create a female dragon?

Normally, eastern dragon always is a male dragon, they have diabolical horn and long beards. so it is easy to make male dragon.  when the female dragon is necessary, people always confuse that how to create a female dragon.

Firstly, the features of female should be understand, they have beautiful eyes, long and soft hair and smooth skin. these should be very useful when people drawing female dragons.

Secondly, the colour  is important as well. In general, male dragon always use some dark or warm colours, like black, brown or cold colour. however, female dragon could use like pink and warns colour. These colour could be the features of female dragon.

Finally, it s the body. Male dragon always has a huge and strong body, they look like powerful. In female dragon, they also has a petite body and look soft and smooth.

when I create my character, I used golden and pink skin. She does not have any beard or dangerous horns, instead her horn looks cute and smooth. She has a small body but flexible. Her colour shows that she is a active dragon and a honorable status.

In conclusion, if people understand the features of female, they can understand that how to create them on dragon.
